In this course, CompTIA CySA+ (CS0-004): Incident Response and Communication, you'll gain the ability to apply a structured incident response (IR) process, execute real-world IR techniques at every phase, and communicate clearly with the people who need to know. First, you'll explore the seven phases of the NIST incident response lifecycle and understand how each phase feeds into the next. Next, you'll discover how to build IR plans and playbooks, define team roles, collect and correlate logs, triage incidents, build timelines, and gather evidence in a way that holds up legally. Finally, you'll learn how to contain and eradicate threats, recover safely, conduct root cause analysis, and produce the reports, communications, and metrics that keep leadership informed and your program improving.
