Modern data platforms need reliable, low-code ways to move data between operational systems and Kafka. Kafka Connect provides a scalable, fault-tolerant framework to integrate sources and sinks without writing custom ingestion code. In this course, Integrate Systems with Kafka Connect, you’ll gain the ability to deploy, configure, and operate Kafka Connect pipelines end to end. First, you’ll understand the Connect architecture, workers, tasks, and converters, and how source and sink connectors fit into real workflows. Next, you’ll deploy Kafka Connect (distributed mode), configure a source connector, and verify ingestion using logs, status endpoints, and offsets. Finally, you’ll implement sink connectors, apply single message transforms (SMTs) for data shaping, and set up dead-letter queues and metrics for robust error handling and optimization. When you’re finished, you’ll have the skills and knowledge of Kafka Connect needed to deliver data reliably across systems with the right deployment model, transforms, and operational guardrails.
