Introduction and Project Overview
[Autogenerated] hello and welcome to introduction to ice strands presented by digital tutors, a soft image official training partner and an Autodesk authorized publisher. My name is Sunder, and I'll be your instructor over the next several hours as you learn how to create impressive visual effects with ice strands, a powerful subset of particles in soft images, interactive creative environment or, as it's more commonly called ice. I've been using soft much for years and have had the opportunity to help create the artist. Got to Exercise seven, which is an industry driven approach to training that's bundled with soft image and also created the softer, much Ice Nos reference library, which is the world's first visual documentation off every ice not available. Now we're Proctor released an online exclusive training course for learning I strands and soft. Our primary goal for this course is to present you with project based training on several practical uses for strands, as well as provide you with a complete understanding of ice strands, how they work, why they can be very useful and, at the end of the day, how they can help you bring your own creative visions to life so that you can become more productive using soft. Most simply stated, hi strands are like tails connected to your ice particles. Thes strands can take your particles from basic points and turn them into Maur organic shapes like grass, liars, paper strips or hair with strands. You can also create solid geometry, driven by ice simulations to get a wide variety of effects, like cool streaks for simulations and even plaque modeling. Now, since all of this is built a nice, you'll be able to quickly and easily create these and alter repurpose them to fit different scenarios that you'll most likely run into the future. Now we're going to start the training by learning how to build strand effects using preset strand compounds and Segway, or transition towards building compounds on our own, building them from scratch. Now we're going to get a solid understanding of how strands work and how we can create and manipulate them. You're also going to learn how to build some challenging strand networks and come up with the unique solutions to obstacles that artists can sometimes run into while working with EI Stranz. All of this will be done by going step by step through a bunch of fun. Easy to follow projects that will provide you with great results that you can use on any project over you're on. We have developed this training for artists who have a basic understanding of soft image and ice. So if you need to this powerful application, you may want to check out introduction to exercise. Seven. An introduction to ice and exercise. Seven. Thes two popular titles will provide you with a solid foundation in soft imagine ice so that you could jump right into learning all about I strands. By the time you finish with this course, you will be extremely proficient in using EI Stranz, and you also have the confidence to tackle any project involving strand effects. With this said, let's go ahead and get started.
