Course Overview
Hi everyone, my name is Frederico Aranha, but please call me Fred. Welcome to my course, Lean Agile IT Management. I am an independent project management and governance consultant. Lean agile became the dominant mindset and management approach in IT companies, but what is it? In this course, you will be introduced to a generic framework that was created solely with the purpose of teaching you the foundations of this approach. This course's main objective is to challenge you to think about lean and agile and how it can be implemented. More than focusing on a specific framework or method, I built a generic framework to teach you the main concepts regarding business agility today. Some of the major topics that we will cover include what are the different IT management specialization areas such as IT service management, IT governance and project management, why everything is converging into lean agile management, key concepts related to lean agile management such as value streams, push versus pull systems, Kanban, and much more. You'll learn roles, events, and how to establish a minimum viable framework for business agility. Last, we'll compare frameworks such as the Kanban method, scrum, and ITIL. By the end of the course, you'll have foundational knowledge on lean agile based on value streams, Kanban, agile roles, and events. From here, continue your learning by taking our wide range of management courses. I hope you'll join me on this journey and learn with me more about Lean Agile IT Management here at Pluralsight.
