Course Overview (Music) Good day viewers. My name's Orin Thomas, and welcome to my course, Manage Azure Role-Based Access Control. I've been working in IT since the mid 1990s, have written more than 3 dozen books for Microsoft Press, have authored a good number of Azure architecture courses for Pluralsight and have a bunch of certifications, speak all over the world at conferences, and I'm completing a Doctor of Information Technology degree in Cloud Security and Compliance at Charles Sturt University. This course provides you with coverage from a basic to an advanced level of Azure role-based access control and how you can implement it to secure your organization's Azure resources. Some of the major topics that we will cover include understanding the built-in role-based access control roles and how to assign them to users, groups, and service principals; how to create your own custom role- based access control roles for when the built-in roles don't precisely do what you need them to; and how to basically perform role-based access control troubleshooting, and I'll give you some tips and tricks. Now, by the end of this course you'll understand why you should and how you should implement role-based access control to secure all types of resources in an Azure environment. Before beginning the course, you should have basic Azure administration skills including having basic PowerShell skills. I hope you'll join me in this journey to learn about how to secure Azure resources in the Managing Azure Role-Based Access Control course, here at Pluralsight.
