Hi everyone, my name is Doru Catana and welcome to my course, Personality Tests: How Employers Use Them. Personality tests are an important part of employee testing and are used by almost a third of companies worldwide in some shape, manner, or form. In this course, we're going to go everything you need to know about personality testing, the core concepts, strengths, weaknesses, and usage. You initially get a bird's eye view of the entire industry, then you'll discover in more detail several of the most popular tests and models, like the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the DiSC Assessment Tool, the Big 5, and then PI or strengthens finder. And your experience won't be a purely theoretical one. For each test, we have several resources available where you can self-assess your personality and understand more about yourself and your behavior. By the end of this course, you'll know why employers use these tests, how this impacts your career, and also you'll get an increase in self-awareness in the way you work and interact with others. And my hope is that increased understanding will help you become more effective in reaching your goals both at a personal level, but most importantly at an organizational level.
