Course Overview Hey, everyone, my name is Doc Norton, and welcome to this play-by-play on Introducing Agile to Your Team. I'm an Agile and Leadership Coach with CTO2, and in this play-by-play, I'm joined by Jeremy Jarrell, who's an experience Agile practitioner and coach. You know, many have experienced the benefits of Agile, be it in school or at another company or on a side project, and they want to introduce these ideas to their existing teams, but they aren't sure where to start or how to be successful. Well, in this play-by-play, Jeremy and I discuss our own experiences introducing Agile to teams and organizations. We'll share things to think about as you're getting started and talk about some common patterns that we've seen in organizations making the transition to Agile. Some of the major things we're going to cover include strategies in approaching for introducing Agile to a team, the pros and cons of using Agile Project Management software, basic Agile practices such as planning, stand ups, reviews, and retrospectives, and some Agile adoption patterns. By the end of this course, you'll know how to decide on your overall Agile approach, patterns for introducing Agile, and variations on common practices that might actually be a better fit for your team than what we commonly see. If you're brand new to Agile, I suggest you first familiarize yourself with the Agile Manifesto and Values and maybe read some case studies on successful Agile projects. Remember, while Scrum is Agile, Agile is not Scrum. You might want to take a look at Lean Extreme Programming and other Agile approaches. From here, you should feel comfortable diving in to more detailed topics with courses on Agile planning, retrospectives, or creating user stories.
