Using Pictures In this clip, I'm going to show you how to add pictures to your slide, pictures that you already have saved on your computer. This slide is using the two-content layout. We have two content boxes here, and we have these icons in the middle of them. Now these icons make it easy to do things like this. This one down here in the lower left, you'll see when I hover over it it says Pictures. That's going to let us insert a picture into this content box. I'm going to go ahead and click on it, and it opens up my Windows Explorer to the Pictures folder. I'm going to click here on my TravelWorld folder because this is where I keep my pictures, and I have my NYC folder. And I'm going to select this picture here. I'm just going to click on it. You'll see it's highlighted in blue. And I'm going to go down here and click on Insert. And once I do that, it puts that picture in, and everything's good. That was very easy to go ahead and do. But that's not the only way to add a picture to a slide. Let's go ahead and go to another slide, a blank slide, and we want to add a picture here, but we don't have a content box with that handy little icon, that little Insert button. So we're going to go up to the Insert tab on our ribbon. And here in the Images section, the very first icon is Pictures. And when I click there it brings me back to the last place that I was, and I can choose another one of these pictures. Let's go ahead, and let's take this one. And I will insert. And now I have this picture of Central Park on my slide. So that's how you add pictures that you saved locally to a PowerPoint presentation.
