Scaling Product Ownership My name is Jeremy Jarrell, and welcome to Scaling Product Ownership, part of the Plotting the Product Owner's Career Path course of the Product Owner Fundamentals course series. In this module, you'll learn what options are available to you for scaling your product ownership practices to multiple teams, as well as how to decide which of these options is right for your team. And you'll learn how to handle the tactical concerns of working with multiple teams, such as scaling both Product Backlog management and complexity point estimation to meet the needs of more than one team. Sometimes the amount of work required to deliver your product is simply too much for one team to handle. In these cases, multiple teams may be assigned to your product to help bring it to market. But the role of the Product Owner is a very demanding role, even for just a single team. This means that if an additional team must be added to help realize your vision for your product, then an additional Product Owner must also be added since Product Owners are the most effective when they are dedicated supporting only a single team. But how do you scale the responsibilities of a single Product Owner across multiple Product Owners, each of who are supporting their own team? Luckily, scaling product ownership is a challenge that's commonly faced by many Scrum Teams as they begin to grow. So, there are many good solutions available to this problem, and it's some of these solutions that you'll learn about in this module.
