What you'll learn

In PowerShell, there is no difference between running a command in the console or a script, other than where you type the commands. In this course, Putting PowerShell to Work, you’ll learn how to get the most from your work from a PowerShell 7.x console prompt. First, you’ll discover how PowerShell uses objects in the pipeline, including the proper way to filter so that you only get the results you need. Next, you’ll explore creating basic parameterized PowerShell scripts with simple error handling using try/catch. Finally, you’ll learn how to set up and take advantage of PowerShell profile scripts to customize your PowerShell environment. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the fundamental PowerShell skills and knowledge to manage your environment from a PowerShell prompt.
