What you'll learn
Quality engineering is a much more complex endeavor than one might think. It’s far more than writing unit tests on one hand and waiting for exploratory testers to report bugs. In this course, Quality Engineering Foundations, you’ll learn to look at software quality more holistically. First, you’ll explore the various conflicting views on quality and see how they can be reconciled. Next, you’ll see what the test pyramid is about and, more importantly, its real-life anti-patterns. Finally, you will discover that attempting to measure software quality is a tricky process that can backfire and how to avoid the downsides. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge of quality engineering needed to make smarter testing and quality decisions.
