Hi everyone, my name is Troy Crandell and welcome to my course Revit Essentials: Modeling and Documenting MEP Systems.

I am a BIM Technologist at SmithGroupJJR. I’ve been in the AEC industry for about 12 years and working with BIM technology for the past 10 and I’m a certified Revit professional.

Revit MEP is the leading BIM authoring tool in the AEC industry today. Many engineering firms around the country use Revit MEP as their BIM authoring tool to produce data rich models. Efficient Revit users are key to the success of these firms. In this course, we are going to explore the essentials of how to use Revit MEP.

Some of the major topics that we will cover include:

  • Exploring the user interface
  • Starting a project
  • Creating a new HVAC system
  • General work flows and tools
By the end of this course, you’ll know how to begin a Revit MEP project, model systems such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing and document these systems for construction.

I hope you’ll join me on this journey to learn Revit MEP with the Revit Essentials: Modeling and documenting MEP systems course, at Pluralsight.
