What you'll learn
Unprotected services, weak access controls, and permissive security policies leave RHEL systems exposed to attack and non-compliant with security baselines. Administrators who cannot confidently configure layered security controls risk both operational integrity and audit failures. In this course, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA-EX200): Managing Security, you'll gain the ability to secure a RHEL system end-to-end using industry-standard tools and frameworks. First, you'll explore how firewalld controls network access through zones, services, and port rules using firewall-cmd. Next, you'll discover how to enforce least-privilege access through default file permissions, umask settings, and key-based SSH authentication. Finally, you'll learn how to manage SELinux in full — switching between enforcing and permissive modes, reading file and process contexts, restoring default labels, managing port labels, and using booleans to tune policy. When you're finished with this course, you'll have the skills and knowledge of Linux security management needed to protect RHEL systems and demonstrate competency at RHCSA level.
