In this course, Security Hardening on Amazon Linux, you’ll gain the ability to defend Amazon Linux 2023 instances using industry-standard security tools and AWS-native access controls. First, you'll explore how to harden SSH configuration and replace key-based access with AWS Systems Manager Session Manager. Next, you'll discover how to control network traffic with firewalld and enforce mandatory access control policies with SELinux. Finally, you'll learn how to configure auditd to track privileged commands, file access, and login events. When you're finished with this course, you'll have the skills and knowledge of Linux system hardening needed to meaningfully reduce the attack surface of Amazon Linux instances running in AWS.
