Simulating Sandman Effects in Maya

What you'll learn

Throughout these lessons we will execute the technical processes required to create the "Sandman Effect." This tutorial includes tips and techniques to augment the process with Maya fluids, along with the usage of nParticles to control the simulation of a large quantity of sand particles. We'll also learn the steps to create dispersed sand using texture driven fluids. By the end of this tutorial you will have learned to create a quick but powerful sand simulation effect in Maya. Software required: Maya 2014, After Effects CS3.
