In this Photoshop and Illustrator tutorial, we'll learn how to create a cool vibrant sports bottle illustration and design. We'll start with an initial composition sketch and discuss why this step is so important. Then we'll discover how to draw strong, three-color vector sports characters, from stock a photo. We'll also learn how to form detailed silhouettes from photo reference. We'll execute a render of our plastic bottle in Illustrator using the Revolve Tool before doing our final composition in Photoshop. By the end of this Photoshop and Illustrator training, you'll know how to create your own packaging designs that are ready for print. Software required: Illustrator CS6, Photoshop CS6.
Introduction and Project Overview Hi there, my name is Simeon Elson. I'm an international freelance illustrator and graphic artist, based in the UK. In this course, we are going to illustrate and design a cool, dynamic, striking sports bottle. Some of the key takeaways from watching this course will include, creating a three tone sports character, silhouettes, and core abstract shapes in Illustrator, then creating a slick 3D bottle render in multiple colors then we'll cross over into Photoshop to construct a super slick bottle design, re-angle presentation, which will output in multiple color schemes, using a maximum of five Pantone spot colors. By the end of the training, you will have learnt how to illustrate and design a professional free-angle, dynamic sports bottle visual presentation set to blow your clients away. I'm excited to work with Digital-Tutors and share these techniques with you. So let's get started with the first lesson.
