In this Web Design tutorial, we'll learn how to utilize A/B testing. Split testing allows you to maximize the performance of a web page to increase visitor engagement. Follow along as we design and build a responsive landing page, integrate a free split testing tool, and then analyze results based on a traffic campaign. By the end of the Web Design training you'll be able to test your creations to maximize usability and engagement. Software required: Adobe Photoshop CC 2014, Sublime Text 2.
Introduction and Project Overview Hi everyone. My name is Gary Simon, and I've been a freelance graphic designer for the last 15 years, and have had the privilege of working with literally over 1000 clients on a wide variety of projects. In this course we're going to dive into the world of A/B Testing, which is a process that allows you to maximize the effectiveness of a given web page, depending on what your goals are. A/B testing is something that every website owner and website designer should be engaged in. We're going to first design a mockup of a landing page whose purpose is to collect email addresses from a submit form. Then we're going to code it into responsive HTML and CSS, and then we will integrate an A/B testing script, and throw some traffic at it, and take a look at the results. Some of the key takeaways from watching this course include learning how to perform A/B testing to maximize a pages performance, design a mockup in Photoshop, and use the foundation framework to create a responsive landing page. By the end of the training you will have learned how to design, build, and perform split testing on a web page. I'm excited to work with Digital-Tutors, and share these techniques with you, so let's get started with the first lesson.
