Microsoft Edge and Cortana
In this clip, we're going to look at customizing Microsoft Edge. Microsoft Edge includes many tools that make it easy to customize the way this web browser works and looks. When you select More actions and then Settings, you can select your Dark or your Light theme. You can enable the favorites bar here as well. Below this, you can change the Open with Start page to just open a new tab, reopen the pages you last had open when browsing, or you can specify a page or a group of pages to open when Edge is opened. Now this can be especially handy if you always open the same two or three web pages every day. For example, I could add a website for an email account, another I use to check the news, it may be another for shopping. (Clicking) Under Advanced settings, we'll scroll down a bit more to the search engine selection. You can see it here labeled Search in the address bar with; we'll select the drop-down. And besides Bing, I could select new to choose a different search engine. There's actually quite a few choices that are now offered, including Google and YouTube. I can select a choice, and then I can select either Add or Add as default. Now this won't change the way web searches are done from the taskbar, but it will show searches using the new choice when you type in a search query in the address bar. In this clip, we've looked at customizing Microsoft Edge. Thank you for watching, and I look forward to seeing you in the next clip.
