Validate the Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) topology
- Verify that the VPC topology, subnet associations, and gateway configurations match the intended two-tier architecture.
- Validate that the web and database instances are deployed with the expected network settings and security group assignments.
- Test end-to-end connectivity across the architecture to identify communication failures between the frontend and backend tiers.

Troubleshooting VPC network configuration issues
- Use Reachability Analyzer to trace and identify the communication failure between the Web Server and the Database Server.
- Inspect VPC Flow Logs to confirm that MySQL traffic is being rejected at the backend network interface.
- Use Reachability Analyzer to diagnose the outbound Internet connectivity failure from the backend subnet.

Remediate VPC network configuration issues
- Update the backend Security group and Network ACL to allow MySQL traffic between the frontend and backend instances.
- Reconfigure the backend Route table to route outbound Internet traffic through the NAT Gateway.
- Validate that the web application connects to the database and the Database Server has outbound Internet access.
