Boosting DynamoDB Performance with DAX and Streams

Globomantics is a global healthcare platform built on AWS, where patient activity records and clinical events are processed using Lambda functions and stored in Amazon DynamoDB. As application traffic increases, the platform experiences higher read latency during concurrent access. There is also a need to processing any data changes in the DynamDB table to be processed in a scalable and event-driven approach manner. In this lab, you will create DynamoDB Accelerator (DAX) and integrate AWS Lambda functions with a DAX cluster to enable low-latency data access and evaluate improvements using Amazon CloudWatch metrics. You will also enable DynamoDB Streams and configure Lambda function to capture and process any item-level changes in the DynamoDB table.
