  1. Challenge

    Create and save the Flights by Status Over Time visualization

    1. Create a new time series visualization with the TSVB.
    2. Calculate the number of events and label it as Flights.
    3. Group Flights by the following filters:
      • Cancelled and FlightDelay are both false, labelled as On Time, and colored green.
      • FlightDelay is true, labelled as Delayed, and colored yellow.
      • Cancelled is true, labelled as Cancelled, and colored red.
    4. Configure the visualization as a stacked bar chart with 1 hour time intervals.
    5. Save the visualization as "Flights by Status Over Time."
  2. Challenge

    Create and save the Flight Delays by Delay Type Over Time visualization

    1. Create a new time series visualization with the TSVB.
    2. Calculate the number of events where FlightDelay is true, and label it as Delays.
    3. Group Delays by the top 10 of FlightDelayType ordered by the number of delays in descending order.
    4. Configure the visualization as a stacked bar chart with the rainbow split color theme and 1 hour time intervals.
    5. Add a second series that calculates the number of events where FlightDelay is true, and label it as Total Delays.
    6. Configure the Total Delays series as an invisible line graph. (We just want to see the value in the legend and tooltip).
    7. Save the visualization as "Flight Delays by Delay Type Over Time."
  3. Challenge

    Create and save the Flights by Carrier Over Time visualization

    1. Create a new time series visualization with the TSVB.
    2. Calculate the number of events where Cancelled is false and label it as Flights.
    3. Group Flights by the top 10 carriers ordered by the number of flights in descending order.
    4. Configure the visualization as a stacked bar chart with the rainbow split color theme and 1 hour time intervals.
    5. Add an annotation with the following requirements:
      • Annotates all occurrences of a cancelled flight (Cancelled is true).
      • Annotates using a red line and the "Exclamation Triangle" icon.
      • Annotations should display "Cancelled Flight: " followed by the flight number (FlightNum).
    6. Save the visualization as "Flights by Carrier Over Time."
