Prepare Data from Multiple Sources and Clean It
In this hands-on lab, you’ll learn how to prepare, clean, and combine data from multiple sources using Power BI Desktop. You’ll connect to both Excel and CSV datasets, use Power Query’s profiling tools to uncover data quality issues, and apply essential transformation techniques such as correcting data types, removing duplicates, and handling null values. You’ll also standardize and align column structures across datasets before appending them into a single, analysis-ready table. By the end of the lab, you’ll have built a clean, unified dataset suitable for modeling and reporting, developing transferable data-preparation skills that mirror real-world BI workflows.
