Remediate an AI-Authored Deployment That Failed Governance

Diagnose and remediate an AI-authored AWS deployment that was rejected by an organizational governance control. Trace the configuration error back to the AI agent’s instructions, correct the affected resource, verify the deployment, and update the agent’s standing context to prevent the same governance failure in future changes.

Table of Contents
  1. Challenge

    Diagnose the failed AI-authored deployment
    • Use Amazon Bedrock to generate and attempt to deploy an infrastructure change
    • Investigate the governance control responsible for rejecting the deployment
    • Identify the noncompliant resource configuration
    • Trace the violation to the generated template and original engineering request to determine which missing or ambiguous constraints led to the failure
  2. Challenge

    Remediate and verify the deployment
    • Modify the noncompliant resource property to satisfy the identified governance requirement while minimizing unnecessary changes
    • Redeploy the corrected infrastructure
    • Verify that the deployment succeeds, the resource reaches its expected state, and the governance control is satisfied
  3. Challenge

Close the AI context gap and validate the fix
    • Update the AI agent's standing context to explicitly define the identified governance requirement
    • Verify that the constraint is clear without unnecessarily restricting valid configurations
    • Apply it to a second infrastructure change to confirm that the generated configuration satisfies the governance control without requiring manual remediation
