Data Protection with DLP and CMEK in Google Cloud
In this lab, you will protect sensitive data in Google Cloud by using Sensitive Data Protection to inspect data stored in Cloud Storage and Cloud KMS to manage a customer-managed encryption key (CMEK). You will identify sensitive information, configure the required encryption permissions, and apply customer-managed encryption to stored data.

Inspect Cloud Storage data for sensitive information
Use Google Cloud Sensitive Data Protection to inspect data stored in a Cloud Storage bucket. You will configure predefined infoTypes to detect sensitive information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, street addresses, and credit card numbers, then review the inspection results to identify the sensitive data found.

Challenge
Configure customer-managed encryption for Cloud Storage
Configure customer-managed encryption for Cloud Storage using Cloud KMS. You will create a key ring and symmetric encryption key, grant the Cloud Storage service agent permission to use the key, configure the bucket to use the key by default, and migrate existing data to the customer-managed key. Finally, you will verify that the existing object is protected using CMEK.
