The Advanced Project Management with PMP Preparation workshop will explore advanced project management knowledge, tools, and techniques for successful on-the-job application. The four-day course will provide fundamentals and Advanced Project Management (PM) knowledge. Participants can attend an optional fifth day to prepare for obtaining a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Participants must attend every hour to receive a 35-hour certificate for educational hours required by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
The course begins with a project management overview then dives into integration management. Next, participants will learn about scope, schedule, and cost management. In addition, quality, resource, and communication management will also be covered. The course concludes with procurement and stakeholder management. Day five will consist of working on a project, a practice exam, and PMP preparation.
Participants must come to class with a real project to apply. The 6th edition Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) is a reference book for participants. The PMBOK and a PMP Preparation book are required for those attending all five days. Because PMI requires 35-course hours, this course is scheduled from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with one hour lunch and 30 minutes of breaks (7 hours of course content daily). Please make arrangements to attend the entire session to avoid missing content and activities.
THIS COURSE IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR TRAINING BUNDLES.
