Shaila Rana, Ph.D.

Dr. Shaila Rana is the Founder of CyberSecure, Co-Founder of the ACT Research Institute, and a Graduate Professor of Information Technology and Cybersecurity. She is the author of three books exploring AI, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies, with a focus on real-world security challenges. She serves as Chair of an IEEE Standards Association workgroup on Zero Trust Cybersecurity for Health Technology, Tools, Services, and Devices and is an IEEE Senior Member. Dr. Rana holds a PhD in Information Systems Security and an MS in Cybersecurity, bringing both academic and industry experience to her work. Her passion is helping people and organizations understand, apply, and strengthen cybersecurity practices to better protect themselves and their communities.
