Amazon DocumentDB is a fully managed MongoDB-compatible database service. In this course, we will get hands-on with DocumentDB by first creating and connecting to a new cluster. We'll also look at migrating data into your cluster as well as backing up and restoring data using snapshots. After some troubleshooting advice and security best practices, we will wrap up with monitoring your cluster and scaling to meet application needs.
We will be manipulating files on the command line, so some basic Linux knowledge is expected. Familiarity with document databases is also useful, so check out the **Prerequisites** lesson in the **Introduction** section for more information.
After completing this course, you will have hands-on experience with Amazon DocumentDB. You should be able to deploy a new cluster, migrate data to it, and perform other management tasks.
