Troubleshooting RPM Issues

Challenge
Install telnet.
First, let's become
root
:sudo -i
Install the
telnet
package:yum install -y telnet
Verify the integrity of the RPM database:
cd /var/lib/rpm/
/usr/lib/rpm/rpmdb_verify Packages
Rebuild the RPM database:
rpm -vv --rebuilddb
Verify the integrity of the new RPM database:
/usr/lib/rpm/rpmdb_verify Packages
Query installed packages for errors:
rpm -qa > /dev/null
Install
telnet
:yum install -y telnet

Challenge
Install Apache.
Install Apache:
yum install -y httpd
Edit
/etc/yum.conf
to remove the exclusion forhttpd
:vim /etc/yum.conf
Now, try to install Apache:
yum install -y httpd
