Course Overview
Hello everyone. My name is David Tucker, and welcome to the course AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Exam: All You Need to Know. I am a cloud consultant and I help organizations every day plan, build, and implement custom software on AWS. I have over 10 years of experience using AWS and I currently hold four different AWS certifications, including this one, the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification. Now this course is designed to give you the information you need to be successful in taking this exam so that you too can gain this certification from AWS. Before you take this course, you should have at least a basic level of experience with AWS. However, this exam is not targeted at a single specialty. If you're a developer, architect, systems administrator, IT executive, or even a sales person working in a technical field, this certification can benefit you. While I will provide a review of core concepts, AWS does recommend that you have six months of experience before taking this exam. Over this course, I will review cloud computing concepts and contrast that to using traditional data centers. Next, I will review a core set of services that are covered on the exam from the over 90 different services that AWS provides. Finally, I will review approaches to both studying for and taking the certification exam. I hope that you are excited about the recognition that you will gain when you achieve this certification. And I hope you join me on this course here at Pluralsight to make that a reality for your career.
