Hey everyone, my name is Ed, and I'm a digital learning lead at Micro Focus. Welcome to my course: Backing Up Data with Data Protector 10, that's Version 10 of Data Protector. Data Protector is an all-in-one data protection solution that standardizes and consolidates backup processes. At the end of the day, it backs up server class boxes, like Windows, Linux, and Unix. Now this course is going to teach you the essentials of Data Protector, not just backing stuff up. It's going to cover installing data protector, configuring media pools and devices, of course backing up and more importantly, restoring data, implementing deduplication. This is using the StoreOnce technology, it's really cool. Monitoring and administering Data Protector, again, from soup to nuts, the whole nine yards. By the end of the course, you'll have an essential knowledge of Data Protector, that's going to help you become an awesome administrator of your Data Protector environment.
