This course will teach you the basics of locks, their functions, and how to exploit them through lockpicking.
What you'll learn
“Locks keep honest people honest.” But, do locks give us a false sense of security? In this course, Lockpicking 101, you’ll learn to identify types of locks that you may encounter in physical security assessments, different parts of the lock, types of lock picks, and bypass tools. First, you’ll explore the basic parts of a lock and different types of locks you may encounter. Next, you’ll discover the types of lockpicking tools available and their function. Then, you’ll learn how to pick most locks. Finally, you’ll talk about alternatives to lockpicking. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills to pick and bypass locks that are needed to gain entry, test, and perform audits of physical security controls..
