I am an IT and localization consultant, I am also a certified Apple support professional, and a very enthusiastic author at Pluralsight. Mac support is a widely searched scale in the enterprise. With the partnership that Apple has entered into with other leading companies, there is more and more need for support in the enterprise, but also in other sectors, such as education, and among the general public. On the other hand, this course is the second in a series of courses that would lead to taking the Apple Certified Support Professional exam offered by Mac. In this course, we are going to see everything that is related to the management of user accounts in a Mac with the operating system, El Capitan. Some of the major topics that we will cover include managing user accounts, managing user folders, passwords and system security, and keychains. By the end of this course, you will know how to manage all the types of users available in the OS X system, El Capitan, including security resources, such as passwords and keychains. Before beginning the course, it would be very recommended to take or have taken the first course in this series: Mac OS X Support Installation and Configuration. Managing User Accounts In this module, we will see all that relates to the management of user accounts in a Mac with the OS X El Capitan installed. We will cover the types of accounts available in this system, creating and configuring these user accounts, we will see what are account attributes, next, we will cover parental controls, and finally, we will explore the login options available. Please take into consideration that we will be covering only user accounts that are available in a single local Mac. Network user accounts are not covered in this course.
