What you'll learn
Intune is Microsoft’s recommended tool for managing Windows and mobile devices, but it is very different from traditional configuration management tools. In this course, Introduction to Microsoft Intune and Modern Endpoint Management, you’ll gain the ability to understand what separates Intune from its precursors. First, you’ll explore the role of Intune - what it can and cannot do, why it is more appealing for a cloud-based enterprise than other LAN-based tools, and what capabilities are provided by Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM). Next, you’ll discover the requirements to implement Intune in your organization, how it fits with Entra ID and Microsoft 365, and what licensing options exist. Finally, you’ll learn how to start navigating Intune’s primary management user interface, the browser-based Intune Admin Center. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge of Microsoft Intune needed to understand how it fits into the IT organization and to start putting it to work as a proactive configuration management tool for your organization’s diverse, distributed client environment.
