In this 3ds Max tutorial, we'll go through the complete process of starting an architectural design project from the brief stage. You'll learn easy-to-apply speed modeling techniques so that your ideas can be modeled and communicated with the least amount of effort and time possible. You'll be able to take any complex structure or architectural form and visualize it in minutes thanks to a different approach to modeling. In addition to greater speed, you'll also learn how to create sun simulations, 3D sections for your projects and final render that resembles a scaled architectural model. By the end of this 3ds Max training you'll have learned many techniques to boost your ability and speed in 3ds Max and let you hit those short deadlines with ease. Software required: 3ds Max 2012, V-Ray 2.0, AutoCAD 2014, Photoshop CS33ds Max 2012, V-Ray 2.0, AutoCAD 2014, Photoshop CS3.

Introduction and Project Overview
Hi everyone, my name is Micha Koren. I'm a designer and digital artist at Le Kore. My latest projects include working on the design of an upcoming W hotel resort in India, as well as the visualization of luxury homes and developments in Europe. In this course, we're going to learn how to transform 3D Macs into a speed modeling machine. We'll focus on how to interpret a brief, and model your ideas from scratch in the most time and energy efficient ways. The project itself will be a floating expo pavilion in Paris. The architecture will be bold and exciting. The building will have complex geometric and undulating structures, and you will learn how to model this, not only with ease, but also with unbelievable speed. Some of the major topics that we will be discussing in this course will include the steps to start the design of a project from a text brief, the differences and benefits of a speed-orientated workflow, and the ways in which to make the design decisions when starting your project. By the end of the training, you will have learned of the tricks to start any creative design project with greater speed and confidence. You will know the methods used by professionals today, giving you an advantage in your field. I'm excited to work with Digital Tutors, and especially excited to show you just how easy these techniques are, and how quickly you can do the same. So let's get started with the first lesson.
