Course Overview
Welcome to this Salesforce Play by Play with Pluralsight. Salesforce Play by Play is an interactive series where we sit down with Salesforce experts, such as MVPs, consultants, developers, and architects, to discuss common challenges faced every day by Salesforce customers. In this course, we challenge Ines Garcia, Agile Coach and Salesforce MVP, to help us understand the potential benefits of adopting an agile approach when working and delivering in the Salesforce ecosystem. First, Ines explains just what agile is, what its core values are, and how it provides an alternative to traditional project management methodologies and practices. She clarifies just how agile can help to resolve issues around delivering quality system enhancements on time and on budget in Salesforce. Next, she walks us through the key agile principles and their benefits when applied to working on the Salesforce platform. She defines Scrum, as well as its foundational practices, such as sprints, sprint planning and reviews, daily standups, the definition of done, and key aspects of sprint retrospectives. Along the way, she describes some alternative agile practices and tools such as kanban, Shu Ha Ri, and others, and she wraps up with some deep perspective around some of the hazards of agile and some pitfalls to avoid while still taking advantage of its many benefits. By the time we're done, you'll have a clear understanding of agile core values, principles, and practices, as well as some agile anti‑patterns and myths to be aware of. So regardless of your role, if you've been wondering whether or not adopting an agile approach could help you to deliver high quality system enhancements on time and on budget in your Salesforce org, please join us for Demystifying Agile for Salesforce. We hope you enjoy it.
