Description

In this collection of lessons, we will focus on restoring old photographs in Photoshop. We'll get started by learning some basic best practice information relating to scanning and saving our photos for restoration. Next we'll begin looking at a couple of non-destructive workflows for repairing our image. First we'll learn about some ways that we can heal an image. Next we'll learn about some ways that we can clone parts of an image to another area. After learning how to use these basic tools and techniques, we'll get started repairing some more difficult damage to our photographs. Along the way, we'll learn how to use both layer masks and adjustment layers to our advantage. We'll wrap things up by learning some methods of both increasing the contrast in our image and sharpening up some of it's missing details. After completing this course, you will be well equipped to begin scanning in and restoring those photos that you may have thought were damaged beyond repair. Software required: Photoshop CS5.
