This series of Maya tutorials will guide you through steps for mapping motion capture data to custom rigs using a set of standard tools in Maya. We'll start our exercise by first learning how to retarget animations manually. Afterwards, we will learn how a toolset can be built to significantly speed up the time it takes to go through this mapping procedure. We'll also learn troubleshooting techniques to overcome obstacles we may face without hindering our workflow. By the end of the tutorial, you'll ultimately learn how to quickly remap animations to custom rigs in order to improve your productivity. Software required: Autodesk Maya 2013.
