Hi everyone. My name is Shane Smyth, and welcome to my course, Data Management Principles in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. I am a Salesforce practice director at Horizontal Digital, a digital consultancy. I have been working in the Salesforce ecosystem for nearly 10 years. In this course, we're going to go deep in Marketing Cloud to discuss data management and how data can be transformed into a data model for marketing. Through this course, we will cover data extensions and data storage types; data designer, also known as attribute groups; and use cases on how to put your data to best use. By the end of this course, you'll have a solid understanding of the best practices surrounding all main data elements in Marketing Cloud and will be able to apply these principles in configuring your own proper data models. Before beginning this course, you should be familiar with the basics of Marketing Cloud through the viewing of previous courses or hands‑on experience.
