Course Overview
Hey. My name is Sara Morgan Nettles, and welcome to the fourth course in this certification path, which is designed to help prepare you for the Salesforce Certified Sharing and Visibility Designer exam. If you've been following along with this path, then you know that up until now we have covered sharing data access across users, groups, and roles, along with setting up team sharing, but it's now time to cover sharing files, reports, and dashboards in Lightning Experience. As has been done throughout this entire series, we are stepping through scenarios involving a Salesforce enterprise company called Globomantics. I will start off by telling you about all the ways components can be shared in your Salesforce org. This will include files that can be uploaded and shared, or even just kept private. And finally, you will find out how to share reports and dashboards in a way that honors your globally diverse sales teams. Some of the major topics that we will cover include identifying a file's sharing settings and then how to mark a file as private. How folders can be used to grant access permissions to reports and dashboards and which user permissions are needed to work with report and dashboard folders. By the end of this course, you'll know how to securely share files, reports, and dashboards with other users in your Salesforce org. Before beginning this course, you just need to be familiar with using the Salesforce platform and working with a developer org. I hope you'll join me on this journey to learn Salesforce security fundamentals with the Share Files, Reports, and Dashboards in Salesforce Lightning Experience course here at Pluralsight
