Description

Modular structures can be tricky to create, but they don't have to be. In this course, Sculpting Modular Structures in ZBrush, you'll get a good understanding on how to sculpt while still thinking modularly. First, you'll learn how to use array meshes inside of ZBrush for modularity. Then, you'll learn how to sculpt believable stone and learn how to differentiate metal sculpting from stone. Finally, you'll learn how to think about the modularity of the structure when it comes to detail. Upon completion of this course, you'll know how to successfully sculpt a detailed modular structure. Required Software: ZBrush 4r7, 3D Studio Max.

Course Overview
Hi everyone, my name is Dan Cox. And welcome to my course, sculpting modular structures in ZBrush. I'm a 3D artist at Capybara Games. Modular structures need a level of detail and focus which is different from other game assets when it comes to sculpting in ZBrush. It's important that we discuss those differences and how to manage them on an asset of that scale. In this course, we're going to sculpt a detailed and sizable structure for use in varied video game environments. Some of the major topics that we will cover include using Ray Meshes inside of ZBrush for modularity. How to sculpt believable stone, how to differentiate metal sculpting from stone. And thinking about the modularity of the structure when it comes to detail. By the end of this course, you'll know how to sculpt a successful and detailed modular structure. Before beginning this course, you should be familiar with ZBrush's interface. I hope you'll join me on this journey on how to create detailed compelling structures with the sculpting modular structures in ZBrush course at Pluralsight.
