Deploy a Network in AWS
In this lab, you will build and validate a simple AWS networking environment. You will create a virtual private cloud (VPC), configure a public subnet with internet access, and apply security controls that allow external connectivity to a test instance. By the end of the lab, you will confirm that routing and security configurations work together to enable controlled network access.

Challenge
Create Your First AWS Network
- Create and configure a VPC suitable for basic connectivity.
- Create a single public subnet and associate it with a route table.
- Attach an internet gateway and add a default route so internet traffic can reach the subnet.
- Configure one security group to allow the required inbound access to a test instance.
-
Challenge
Validate End-to-End Network Connectivity
- Verify which route table is applied to the subnet and identify the route that enables internet access.
- Launch a test instance into the subnet and confirm you can reach it from the internet using the allowed protocol.
- Observe how changing security group rules or routes affects connectivity, confirming that the deployed network behaves as intended.
