Installing and Starting Emacs

In this lab, you will be installing Emacs, starting Emacs, and using part of the built-in help system. Knowledge about installing software packages on Linux is recommended for this lab. You will be using the default software packaging systems provided by each operating system. Upon completing this lab, you will know how to install, start, and exit Emacs. In addition, you will know how the describe-keys portion of the help section works.
