Manage Messages in Azure Service Bus and Azure Queue Storage
In this hands-on lab, you will learn to manage messages using two Azure messaging services—Azure Service Bus and Azure Queue Storage. You will practice creating queues for both services using the Azure portal, and act as both a producer and consumer of messages. You'll create a Service Bus Queue, configure its properties (like message delivery and lock duration), and send and receive messages via a simple .NET console application built in Cloud Shell. Similarly, you'll create an Azure Storage Queue, and use another .NET application to send and receive messages, leveraging identity-based authentication. By the end, you'll clearly understand the key functionalities and differences between these two messaging services.
