Woodward Honored Among 11 of Utah’s Top C-Level Executives Driving Utah’s Economy

Award Winners Featured in June Issue of Utah Business Magazine

SALT LAKE CITY – Pluralsight, a global leader in online training for technology professionals, announced today that CFO Greg Woodward has been named one of Utah Business Magazine’s first-ever “CXO of the Year” award winners, which honors 11 of Utah’s business leaders who drive the engine of Utah’s economy. Woodward, along with the other award recipients, are featured in the magazine’s June issue, as well as honored at a luncheon on June 27 at the Hilton Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City.

“Greg is an incredibly valuable member of the Pluralsight team and a true business leader pushing Utah’s economy forward—making him the perfect candidate for CXO of the Year,” said Aaron Skonnard, Pluralsight CEO and co-founder. “Under Greg’s financial leadership, Pluralsight has sustained triple digit growth both in revenue and employees, allowing the company to make highly strategic acquisitions in a very short time frame. Greg’s expertise has been a paramount component of our continued financial growth and we are extremely thankful for his contributions.”

As chief financial officer at Pluralsight, Woodward acts as a financial partner to the executive team, in addition to providing strategic vision and best practices for the company in operation and finance. In this role, Woodward has helped guide Pluralsight through multiple acquisitions, positioning the company for continued growth and quickly establishing the company as the dominant market leader for professional technology training. From July 2013 to February 2014, Woodward oversaw and drove four acquisitions with a combined transaction value in excess of $70 million, positioning Pluralsight for substantial revenue and enterprise value gains.

“At Pluralsight, it has been very gratifying to help make decisions and drive projects that have a direct bearing on whether or not the company succeeds both in the short and long term,” Woodward said. “To be recognized for that work by Utah Business Magazine—a key influencer in the industry—is very rewarding, and I am honored to be acknowledged among several of Utah’s best and brightest as a CXO of the Year.”

Utah Business Magazine’s CXO of the Year 2014 award recognizes the top C-level executives that are crucial to keeping a business running, handling branding, legal matters, product development, marketing and whatever else it takes to make a business thrive.
