Pluralsight Named One of the 2019 Best Workplaces for Women by Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE

Sep 20, 2019

SILICON SLOPES, Utah – Pluralsight, Inc. (NASDAQ: PS), the enterprise technology skills platform, today announced it has been named one of the 2019 Best Workplaces for Women by Great Place to Work® and FORTUNE for the second consecutive year.

“We’re so proud to once again be named a Best Workplace for Women,” said Aaron Skonnard, co-founder and CEO of Pluralsight. “This recognition by Great Place to Work and FORTUNE validates all of our work to support all of our team members, regardless of gender identity, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age or physical ability, to feel welcome and comfortable bringing their full selves to work every day.”

In the past few years, Pluralsight has intentionally invested in creating meaningful programs to enhance the workplace and create a stronger sense of belonging for all. Pluralsight is an original founder of Parity.org, a nonprofit organization focused on bringing gender parity to the highest levels of business. As a founding member, Pluralsight was among the first companies to take the ParityPledge, committing to interview at least one qualified woman candidate for every open vice president position and above, including board positions. As of today, Pluralsight’s 11-member Board of Directors is 27% female. Additionally, the company created the Women at Pluralsight program to offer women in all roles and at all job levels an outlet to connect, support, empower, and succeed through a variety of leadership and personal development, including a mentorship program.

“These winning companies are thriving because women have an equal seat at every table where critical decisions are made,” said Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “Organizations like Pluralsight know that creating a great workplace where everyone can succeed regardless of gender is not just the right thing to do, but a must-do if you want to be the very best of everything in the marketplace.”

The Best Workplaces for Women list is one of a series of rankings by Great Place to Work and FORTUNE based on team members' feedback from Great Place to Work-Certified™ organizations. In determining final rankings on the 2019 Best Workplaces for Women list, Great Place to Work analyzed anonymous Trust Index survey responses from more than 4.6 million women working at Great Place to Work-Certified companies across the United States. Team members evaluated their organizations through 60 questions, including the extent to which team members trust one another, their managers, and company leadership; the respect with which people are treated; and the fairness of workplace decisions. Great Place to Work also analyzed these patterns relative to each organization’s size, workforce makeup, and team members’ daily experiences of innovation, and the companies’ values.

Rankings are based on team member’s feedback and reward companies who best include all team members, and where women have equally great experiences as team members of other genders, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization.
