Pluralsight CEO Aaron Skonnard Inducted Into UTC Hall of Fame

SILICON SLOPES— Pluralsight, the enterprise technology learning platform, today announced that its co-founder and CEO Aaron Skonnard was inducted into the Utah Technology Council (UTC) Hall of Fame for his global contributions to the technology industry through innovation and leadership. Inductees were honored at a gala held on Friday, November 10th, at the Salt Palace Convention Center.

Recognizing that technology was changing faster than the world’s ability to acquire new skills, Aaron and his co-founders created Pluralsight in 2004 to close the technology skills gap and ultimately lift the human condition. Under Aaron’s visionary leadership, Pluralsight bootstrapped for nearly a decade before taking outside funding. Along the way, Pluralsight acquired eight companies in three years and, in 2016, launched the world’s leading enterprise technology learning platform that is now used by more than 40 percent of the Fortune 500 companies.

In addition to his role as co-founder and CEO of Pluralsight, Aaron is also a founder and board member of the Silicon Slopes organization, where he uses his expertise and experience to empower technology companies across the state. His unwavering dedication and contribution to this cause has driven Utah to become a nationally recognized technology hub.

Fueled by his desire to democratize technology, Aaron recently orchestrated Pluralsight One: a social initiative to support nonprofit organizations around the world by equipping them and the people they serve with the technology skills they need to solve the world’s greatest challenges. Under this initiative, Pluralsight joined the Pledge 1% club and will give one percent of its product, time, equity, and profits to uplift communities in need. Several days after the launch of the initiative, Pluralsight One made a $10 million commitment over the next five years to support K-12 computer science education in the United States.
