Infrastructure as Code for Cloud Engineers

1 Lab
1 Hours
Skill IQ

Build practical infrastructure as code skills for cloud engineering work across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Use this path to learn how to make controlled IaC updates, review deployment impact, troubleshoot failed changes, and verify infrastructure state using provider-native and managed deployment workflows.

What You'll Learn
  • 1. Make controlled infrastructure as code updates from existing repositories, including access configuration, state review, deployment preview, deployment execution, and post-deployment verification
  • 2. Operate IaC-managed environments by reviewing stack or deployment context, troubleshooting failed changes, identifying drift or unintended changes, and restoring expected infrastructure state
  • 3. Apply provider-specific IaC workflows across CloudFormation, Bicep, and Google Cloud Infrastructure Manager while recognizing how each platform handles inputs, previews, deployment records, logs, and operational handoff
Prerequisites
  • This path is intended for learners who understand core cloud infrastructure primitives in at least one major cloud provider, including identity, networking, storage, compute, resource organization, and basic deployment workflows. Learners should be comfortable using a command-line interface, reading structured configuration files such as YAML, JSON, Bicep, or Terraform-style syntax, and following source-controlled operational workflows. Prior exposure to CloudFormation, Bicep, or Terraform is helpful, but this path focuses on practical cloud-engineering use of IaC rather than general-purpose Terraform authoring or CI/CD pipeline design.
