Lea Verou

Lea Verou is a web standards geek / front-end engineer / web designer / speaker currently living in Greece. In the past, she has worked for W3C/MIT. Lea was the co-founder of a Greek startup called Fresset Ltd., although these days her focus has shifted from it. Look for her upcoming book for O'Reilly, titled "CSS Secrets." She is passionate about web standards, especially JavaScript and CSS. She makes tools that help other developers working with them, and speaks about them in conferences around the world. Lea writes about standards in popular industry media and blogs about her related research and tools. She also helps develop CSS as she is an Invited Expert of the CSS Working Group. Lea holds a BSc in Computer Science from Athens University of Economics and Business. She has co-organized a 4th year undergrad course about web-development at her Alma mater.
