Course Overview
Hi, I'm Scott Reynolds, and welcome to my course, Muse CC and Business Catalyst. I'm an Adobe Community Professional, and I've been building websites since the 1990s. My company, Thrise, is a premium Adobe Business Catalyst partner, and I work with Business Catalyst on a daily basis. In this course, we'll take a Muse site and integrate it with Business Catalyst to create a fully-featured online business. I'll explain the relationship between the two products, and then show you how you can best leverage Business Catalyst to get the most out of your Muse site. We'll go over built-in features like support ticketing, customer relationship management, email marketing, eCommerce, and much more. By the end of this course, you'll know the basics of integrating a Muse site with Adobe Business Catalyst. I hope you'll join me on this journey to turn your Muse site into a fully-functioning and successful online business.

Introduction
You are likely familiar with Adobe Muse already; however, there's a good chance you are not as familiar with Adobe Business Catalyst. Business Catalyst is a hosted all-in-one solution for building and managing business websites. If you are new to Business Catalyst, you may consider looking over businesscatalyst. com, and more specifically, docs. businesscatalyst. com/support. Business Catalyst is a standalone Adobe product; however, it is somewhat integrated with Adobe Muse, and since Muse is quickly becoming a tool of choice for web designers, it will be helpful to understand how Muse and Business Catalyst can work together. Muse allows you to build beautiful looking websites without needing to write code, which is extremely valuable, because the time you would typically spend writing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, you can now invest that time in perfecting your design and satisfying your clients' business needs. But it doesn't have to stop there. Business Catalyst is an extremely powerful business tool, and can take a simple Muse site and turn it into a fully-featured online business. What Muse does for the front-end, Business Catalyst does for the back-end. This course we focus on getting the most out of the Muse + Business Catalyst relationship. We are going to take a Muse template that I purchased from Theme Forest, which is a popular template site. Then, we'll hook it up to Business Catalyst with the intention of running an online business. In the next video, we are going to take a look at what you get with a basic Muse site when published to Business Catalyst.
