Using Pluralsight's Learning Tools
In this video, you'll learn about the tools on the Course page, as well as the video player to help you learn on Pluralsight. On the Course page, you'll find a variety of tools to help you organize and save content for later and also allow you to see additional author-provided content. The first tool we'll cover is bookmarks. You can bookmark the course or even specific modules to make it easier to find the course later. To view your bookmarks, click the bookmarks link in the left-hand navigation menu. Next, we'll look at transcripts. If you prefer to read the content of the course, you can view the text version in the Transcript tab. Transcripts can be searched just like any other web page by using Ctrl+F on Windows or Cmd+F on a Mac. You'll notice that by clicking a phrase within the transcript, the video player will immediately jump to that specific location within the video clip letting you quickly find exactly what you're looking for. You can also download course exercise files and take a learning check if it's been provided by the author. Exercise files and learning checks are a great way to make sure you're understanding the content within the course. Please note that not all courses will have these options available. If you'd like to participate in discussions with other Pluralsight users about the course, the Discussion tab provides a space for you to ask questions about the course or related topics. On the video player, you can adjust the playback speed, turn on captions, and even take notes, format them, and refer to them later.
